We are big big fans of Havana meets Kingston and normally play at least one of their tracks during our DJ sets. Last week 25ThC had the privilege of seeing them live at the amazing Albert Hall in London. It was atmospheric, unique and totally spellbinding to watch these super talented musicians perform live. Better yet you can now relive the gig on the BBC iPlayer. Don’t snooze as this won’t be available for long.
Our good friends and fellow hip hop lovers Get It Together have just released their 4 Elements Documentary. A film about the love of Hip Hop, made for the love of hip hop.
It features footage from The 4 Elements Hip Hop Exhibition in Worthing and a series of insightful interviews with DJ Format, Remark, Haynesy, Dan Flanagan and more. It also documents the emerging and vibrant Hip-Hop scene in Worthing accompanied by a great soundtrack.
After what seemed like an age since Edan last released any material, just like buses two new tracks come along at once. First up was his collaboration with Mr Lif on the new Cut Chemist album and now the first single off his forthcoming album with Homeboy Sandman on Stones Throw Records. The beat is very reminiscent of his very underrated debut album Primitive Plus. We can’t wait for this album to drop but more importantly to see Edan live in London with Chemist and DJ Format on 17 May.
