Homeboy Sandman & Edan – Never use the internet again

After what seemed like an age since Edan last released any material, just like buses two new tracks come along at once. First up was his collaboration with Mr Lif on the new Cut Chemist album and now the first single off his forthcoming album with Homeboy Sandman on Stones Throw Records. The beat is very reminiscent of his very underrated debut album Primitive Plus. We can’t wait for this album to drop but more importantly  to see Edan live in London with Chemist and DJ Format on 17 May.

25ThC on Hailsham FM 03/04/18

Having submitted some mixes previously for the show we were invited onto Stuart Clack-Lewis’ Premium Blend Show on Hailsham FM to do the shows very first live DJ mix. 25ThC loaded up his two Numark PT01 decks and a box of 45s and headed off to the stations new studio.

The mix kicked off with the spacey jazz cover of “Everybody loves the sunshine” by from Kan Sano into the Roy Richards reggae cover of “Summertime”. Next up was Agrupacion Ilegal Los Imparciales amazing cumbia cover of “Norwegian Wood” followed by some rock and roll from Jay Swan and Annie Williams, and the Northern soul classic “Tainted Love” by Gloria Jones. It continued with heavy funk from King Rooster, Wayne Carter & Organ Twisters and ended with the gorgeous soul track “Drown my heart” by David Coleman.

Also on the show was Brendan Quinn from The Divisionists who played some brilliant tracks from their new album Daybreak and some solo material.

We are back on the show for another live mix on Tuesday 29 May 2018.
